Father's Day Weekend

So we did our annual trip to Moab for Father's Day weekend. This year we went a day early and drove to Rob's dads house in Colbran, CO. It was further than I thought and it made for a 10 hr trip in the car that day. When we first started driving and we were about to Provo Paige said are we at the airport yet? It was funny. Robs dad has only seen Ian twice and has never seen Paige or Zaylee. While we were there Paige said, Hey you guy can I have a drink of water. It was kind of embarrassing yet sad. The visit was short and we were back on the road to Moab. We stayed at a hotel that had a kid friendly pool. Water slide included. All we did all weekend long was Baseball, Swim or Eat! Robs family came from Denver again this year. It was so much fun. If you win the baseball games then you get a break in between and they won every game they played so we had lots of Free time! They took 1st and Rob had two home runs this year!!! It was a blast as usual! Happy Father's Day to my dad and Rob! Thanks for Everything you do for us!

Zaylee when we got out of the 10 hr car ride! She colored on her instead of the coloring book!

When it Rains it Pours....

So just after ten last night I got a call from Rob, so which ER can I go to with our insurance? Why what happened? I broke my thumb it is crooked. Yes of course playing baseball. I am actually shocked in the many years of sports this is the first ER visit. So my dad came to sit with my sleeping girls and off to the ER I went. Ian was with Rob and after an hour or so Jori came and took him home. Then at about 12:30 we got into a room and the Dr. said its not broken just dislocated. Do you want me to put it back with meds or no meds. Rob chose no Meds but the Dr. had second thoughts and said your a big boy and what if you punch me. Rob laughed and said no Meds but was then coaxed into having his Thumb numbed. Which this morning he wishes was still numb. So finally after sitting there for three and half hours it was fixed in two min. Gotta love the ER which I hope I don't have to see one again for a long time. I am not good at watching the people in there. This is going to be fun! I already laughed at him when he asked me to do up his button on his shorts. Have fun a work! I hope you don't have to go to the bathroom :)

Life's Roller Coaster this Week

This week has been full of Ups and Downs....
Up: Ian got the Clove Award for Academics and Citizenship in Kindergarten and 1st Grade now!
Down: Zaylee has been in the hospital since Wednesday with MRSA
Up:Paige's Danced her heart out at her dance Recital... She was SO cute!
Down: The Furnace went out for the second time.
Up: It didn't cost me 250.00 to fix it this time (that was last week).
Down: My favorite Babysitter quit this week without giving any notice.
Up: I found a new babysitter in 1 phone call.
Down: A colleague at work passed away from Cancer at only 53.
Up:I already had the time off work to Play this weekend so I didn't have to call in sick while we are here at the hospital. Summer is coming there will be plenty of time to Play.
Down: I was just told we won't be leaving the hospital until Sat or Sunday for Sure.. Not going home today :(
Up: I won a Prize at Bunko yesterday while Rob sat at the Hospital with Zaylee.

While the Ups are Ups and the Downs are Downs. This weeks Downs were huge and I am just grateful that my life is FULL of more UPS usually than DOWNS.

The school year winding down and Preschool is over

So Preschool ended yesterday and this left Paige in tears. She is going to miss her big Friends (Christine, Quintin, Mason and Nate are her favorites this year) and now what to do for the Summer. She wants to learn to read so I am going to teach her the basics and start from there. She has another full year of Preschool because she misses the deadline. Just like Ian did and Zaylee will be in the same boat too. I should have had babies in the Spring not Fall :)

Here is her letter that they read at Graduation to everyone
This is our friend Paige. She joins us again for the second year at preschool. Paige is as cute as a bug and has so many ideas of her own! She chooses a big friend to play with and then she ends up playing with 3 or 4 other friends as well. She loves to play hopscotch every chance she gets. She is very nice and lets other kids have their turns too. Her friend, Maddi and Neighbor probably play hopscotch every day since we taped hopscotch in the preschool.

Paige is quite the little DIVA. She loves, loves, loves to have her lip gloss at all times. She loves calender time. Often she thinks she is one of the BIG friends and runs calendar time. Now let me tell you about Paige and Lesson Time. She might as well be one of the High School Students because she often helps teach the lesson and shows or explains how to make the craft.

Paige loves to play I Spy with My Little Eye when we have choosing time while we sin in circle time.

Paige was in charge at the Zoo. Even though her mom and little sister came with us on the bus, she let them know that "they were on their own" because she had friends to be with!

Paige is a lot of fun to have around! We are glad you came to our preschool. We Love You Paige!

Paige I am really sorry that you have to go to Preschool again next year. You are going to be so bored.

Ian's school is coming to an end as well. Only 8 more days and most of them are play days! He gets to go to the Zoo all day tomorrow, then field day and the School Lunch Picnic!

He is doing so well at school and Baseball. His last game he made the Game winning catch in Right Field. The Umpire gave him the game ball and told him what a Great Play it was. Ian was so excited. Rob said it was unbelievable! I was at work so I missed it.

Zaylee is talking up a storm and her favorite words right now are I do and Go Out Side!
Well we are gearing up for summer and lots of Playing!!!
Here is the invite for Paige's Dance Recital!

The furnace....

This was my day yesterday......
So as I was downstairs doing laundry I noticed the furnace was making a funny noise. So Rob called the HVAC guy and he said sounds like the motor went out, and I can come fix it tomorrow.

What a day The tooth Fairy didn't come last night, the furnace is broken, and the washer is broken.

Well after dinner Roy came over and helped Rob unstack the washer and dryer and they took it apart and fixed it! My front loader kept reading F-1.. So I googled the code and found out that it meant the drain was clogged or the pump to the drain had gone out. Lucky enough it was just the drain that was clogged. Really clogged. Two plus dollars in change, a sock, a bracelet, hair pins, a back to a delta pin that I have been missing for sometime, and lots lots more crap. It was gross. I didn't even know that it would clog like that.

Well I ran a load of laundry and it is working great!
The Tooth Fairy came a Day Late....
And the Furnace well its 63 degrees in my house this morning and I have a feeling my pocket book will be a little lighter this afternoon.
